We left Dijon by bus around 7a.m. and finally arrived in Strasbourg at 11.
The first part of the study trip was a city tour provided by Magali. She showed us the famous cathedral of Strasbourg and the magnificient old city center. After a very good lunch in a restaurant and brewery called "Au Brasseur" we joined the Palais de l'Europe, for a visit of the Council of Europe (CoE). After a presentation of the role and the history of the Council, we had the chance to attend to a session of the Council. Then, Stéphane Leyenberger, chief of the Council's Justice department, presented to us the actions of the CoE in these issues. A lot of questions were raised by the students and a very construtive discussion started, that ended near 5p.m.
Before leaving one of the European capitals, we had the time to take a drink and to continue the visit of the city.
We arrived in Dijon around 11pm. All the feedback received on our way back was very positive: the students really enjoyed the study trip! Some students are even interested to join the Europa-Master in the future! To conclude, we can say that it was a very intense and fantastic day for the students and the EMA-DOM association!
